[honestly, sizhui would be surprised if he didn't stick out amongst all the other people; he does have a rather distinct look about him, all long dark hair and soft features. he pulls more than a few looks, two of which belong to the aforementioned boys bruce had taken in.

at first, the soft ding of the door doesn't really register to him, thoughts too lost on what he's going to do, what he'll say and how it should be said, but ‘the usual, mister wayne?’ has his attention flickering up from the cup he's got clutched between his hands, wide eyes immediately locked onto the man that's now standing at the counter. mister wayne! that must be him, of course, and sizhui's gaze lowers again, shoulders lifting to his ears.

if he just acts casual, maybe every single thought that's running through his head at a million miles a minute will settle. much to his dismay, however, he ends up peeking again, momentarily catches bruce's eyes then instantly looks away once more, tries everything he can to make it seem like he's more focused on the raindrops drumming against the nearby window despite his unsubtle misstep.]

[ bruce sees that quick way he darts his eye. he raises his eyebrow. there's a nod to betty before he takes a seat at one of the chairs. his phone comes out and he quickly scrolls through the news. metropolis coming back from the encounter with the kryptonians, more investigations into stryker island. the usual and continual stories.

more sightings of the batman. more mourning over the superman.

he takes a sip of his coffee and simply waits for the other man to approach him. ]

[so, that's how this is going to play out, huh? sizhui wouldn't call himself a coward, but he isn't all that brave when it comes to meeting someone he doesn't know in a world he's only resided in for a short amount of time. he takes a quick swig from his cup, winces faintly at the burn, thoughtfully purses his lips then slides out from his seat.

he takes a deep, steeling breath, squares his shoulders then makes his way over to the table where bruce is sitting.

and somehow, his stride doesn't break nor does he let fear overtake him as he asks,] Pardon my interruption, but you are Bruce Wayne, correct?

[menarebrave]

That's my name. Try not to wear it out. [ he is all smiles though, welcoming and friendly.

then he motions for the other man to take a seat. ] Not that it's hard to spot Bruce Wayne.

[thank the stars, it isn't the first time he's heard that or else sizhui might've been confused. instead, he manages a soft laugh, raises a hand and hides his smile behind a sleeve.]

I do not wish to offend, but as someone who is relatively new here, it's not easy for me. [after turning to tug the other chair out, he sits, laces his fingers together across his lap.] I'm also hoping I don't sound, ah, odd when I say I only know you because of a couple people I'm acquainted with.

[‘acquainted with,’ is putting it mildly.]

Not offensive at all. It's refreshing in a way. It gets tiresome being the most famous person in Gotham. [ bruce is smiles and at least they are genuine. ] And who are you acquainted with?

I can imagine. I'm glad, regardless. [but also: he understands. not like bruce does, but where he's from, people know his sect all over, his father especially.] I'm sure you know them. Jason Todd and Dick Grayson?
