[ So, Halloween. Jon used to like Halloween. He and Robb had pranked their siblings once, down in the crypts; Arya hadn't been fooled but Sansa had run off in tears, and it had felt good for five whole minutes despite being covered in flour. Until they got back in the house and Catelyn gave him an earful.

He drives carefully through the neighborhood, watching the kids already up and about, going from house to house. It's almost nostalgic, but even if the Wayne kids were actually into that sort of thing, they didn't have the time for that anymore. Not really. Not since that girl fell from the sky and set the future in motion, a future they apparently had to change or else they were all doomed.

He comes to a dead end, parking in front of an ominous-looking abandoned house; a most appropriate setting for a paranormal investigation, and the irony's not lost on him. Jesse is already waiting on the porch.

He opens the passenger seat window and calls out from the inside: ] You want your pumpkin spice now, or later?

[ Jesse looks up from the porch with a tight smile on her face. She gets the joke about pumpkin spice - and it is good - though she has the feeling the Waynes are going to run with it. Especially now with that Jane girl from the future.

Which is still hard to get her head around.

She stands up and gives a shrug. ]

Might as well have it now before we go inside.

[ He's kidding. Contrary to popular belief, Jon Stark does have a sense of humor. Sort of.

He hands over her cup of coffee. Black. ]

So what is it you need help with, exactly?

[ She really should be the one buying him a drink for doing this favor, right? But then she's a redhead one of the few people he can't turn down. They've become rather good friends after that embarrassing bar incident, or so he'd like to think. ]

I guess the first thing to clear up is me. You do know who I am--what I do. Right?
