Well, anyone who takes the time will find all the charity work I do. Then again, I suppose it only maters how much the population reads the Gazette.

Of course, your philanthropy. Some tax-deductible donations, a few galas and fundraisers that allow you to rub shoulders with your peers in luxury. It shows such care for the city.

I won't argue that Gotham is bigger than the Waynes and everything you've built. What I question is what makes anyone in this city worth the effort. Most of them are staggeringly dull-witted and lacking any ambition whatsoever. So why bother with them?

Why not bother trying to save them?

We may not like to admit it, because there's not much to be proud of... but Gothamn is our home. If we can't fix home, then how can we claim to do anything worth while?

[Conversely, saving anything has never been on Edward's list of priorities. Why should he bother when those that need saving are so much less intelligent than him?]

I'd like to provide some thrilling intellectual challenges to help make the populace smarter. Really get their brains working for once. I can think of few things that would benefit the city more than being smarter, wouldn't you agree?
