Never was one for the woods. Or camping.
[ How he ended up bloody lost in the woods was beyond him. How he got lost in the woods with a woman from another dimension -- that is a little less beyond him. Dimensions, planes of existence, none of that is really beyond him. Though it's rare he runs into someone who knows him and doesn't hate him.
That's more surprising than anything.
He looks at the compass in his hand. And sighs.
And then throws it over his shoulder. ]
Bloody useless thing.

He holds it up between his hands, the edge of the blade pressing into one finger as he balances them. A few words are said in Celtic. Nothing at first, to which he raises his eyebrow. It's best to be prepared.
[ The Boy Scouts were right about that at least. ]
No, you don't. Guess that's what we're deal with here?
[ It still didn't really explain Sara's abduction...or where they even were. But it was something. One thing was for sure, if they survived this ordeal then Sara was going to make sure to have a crystal handy too. ]

[ He tilts his head as he angles the blade more. Hrm. ]
I'm trying to use the ley lines to guide our way out. Thing is? They're not right.

[ Maybe he would if the crew came to rescue them. If they even knew Sara was gone. But they had to know, didn't they? Surely Gideon could get them here. ]
That...doesn't sound good, John.
[ There was a sudden snapping of branches not that far from their location. ]

[ He has a sinking feeling on what's going on. And, oh, he doesn't like that idea at all. Not one bit. He looks at her over his shoulder and gives a shit-eating-grin, but there is a nervousness behind it.
He hopes he's wrong.
Then, the snap happens. He angles the blade towards the sound-- ]
