[ Jesse has the sense it is more like Polaris pushing back the resonance of the Dark Place; releasing a fog on the mind as opposed to trying to free a mind of possession. Then again, Jesse is hardly a scientist, and she has settled that some things she may never know the answer to. She doubts Polaris would even give her answers if she asked--or, if Wake asked.

She watches his gaze move across the paper before looking down at it once more. He narrates it, just as he had over the Hotline. There's no mistaking that it's really the Alan Wake.

« You get a feel for people once they've talked in your head. And he's definitely the same feeling as before. Maybe just a bit more paranoid instead of dramatic. Not that I can talk, I know paranoia. »]

If you can't right now that's fine. [ She leans back in the chair. ] People usually are disorienated after they've... come back like you have.

[ « Using the terminology of the Bureau here isn't probably the best idea. »

His next questions make her smile--a little. Just enough to make it seem like she is. Jesse has never been one for exaggerated expressions. ]

I was going to ask if you recognized me. [ She shifts in the chair slightly. ] Knew what I looked like.

So... do you know who I am?
