[ Lantaa stands in place quietly as she waits for her answer. Her fingers begin to twist one another despite her best efforts. Surely he would not wish her to stay as he finishes his meal. He has gone to such lengths to hide away, even from himself, that even letting her see it must frighten him. Her head lowers a tad more. If only she had been strong enough to leave the cave herself. Then, perhaps she could have found him sooner, and been there when the event happened. She may not have been able to prevent it, but, she could have at least been there to love him before the spiral even began.

As gruesome as it might be, what catches her attention is the sound from the corpse of the rat in his hand. Her eyes open and she dares to look at his hand while her ears twitch from the sound of squeezing flesh. Lantaa blinks once before turning her gaze to Aymeric properly. He seems to have forgotten what is in his hands as he stares at the floor beneath him. She recognizes the look in his eyes, as she has worn it several times. He means to hide himself further away.

His words reach her. She had not expected him to say such a thing at all. His actions speak of one thing while he says another. If not for the haunted expression in his eyes, she would hesitate. However, perhaps he will accept her aid this one last time. She still will not offer to feed him as he clearly has no need of it. But, there is a way to reassure him she will not leave.

Lantaa gently reaches for the rat in his hand. She slowly eases it from his grasp and places it a bit away on the floor (while making a mental note of where it is at to clean it later). Then, she takes the damp cloth in his hand and turns it around his fingers to begin cleaning them. Once seen to, she turns to the other hand, then his neck, then his mouth and lips. She works quietly and with the most kindest of movements she can make. When the mess is cleaned, she places the rat in the cloth and bundles it up.

Then, she turns her attention back to Aymeric.

Lantaa does not hesitant and attempts to see what he might need. She could ease his insticts and appeal to them to draw his attention. He made no complaints the previous times she has done it to feed him, but, she imagines he may begin to resent her for such a thing. Instead, she picks the softer option.

She moves to stand between his legs. Her arms raise around him and gently guide him to rest against her. She eases his head to rest on her bussom and wraps her arms around him. One hand rests on the back of his head while the other on his back.

After a monent she begins to brush his hair. What should she say? Or, should she say nothing at all? Is the motions and gestures enough to explain or even begin to say what she wishes to? Lantaa is far from sure. Her head lowers till she presses her nose gently into his hair. ]

T-they came in the night; creatures with sharp talons and wings to carry them. Some small, a-and some were large. Some seemed more like beasts than gargoyles. [ She continues to speak in hushed tones. Why is she telling him these things? How this might help is beyond her understanding, but her soul demands she share it. ] They slashed through the walls and roofs, clawing into t-those I knew. M-my friends, m-my neighbors, e-even my teachers. Anyone in their way... a-all under the red eye in the sky... peaking between the clouds...

[ Lantta instinctively pulls him closer. ] T-they wanted us dead--all of us. C-creatures that black mages summoned to kill m-my people in a-another age. A-and... w-when mother and father took my sister a-and I, I could see them flying from the sky...

[ Lantaa pauses to swallow the anxiety spiking through her as she shakes. ] F-father, he took her... a-and mother took me... a-and I saw them run into the dark. W-we ran and ran, and the knights chased us. T-they were there with them... true voidsent... we saw t-them from our small boat destroy all the homes... the people I knew...

[ She nuzzles her nose into his hair as she begins to gently rock him. ] Y-you're not a monster, my love. R-real monsters kill w-with our thought and reason. T-they feed on aether from anything. T-they hunt to kill... real monsters killed everyone...

[ Her hands curl into his hair and his shirt. The hushed tones turn into a whisper. ] You're my someone, my pair, my love. Y-you're not them. You're mine. I-I can't heal what has been done to you--what they made you into. A-all I can do is aid you in what they made you. I... I want to care for you... in all ways... b-because I love you.

[ Lantaa gives him a firm hug that is equal parts love and caring. She hopes it comforts him and that he might understand her point. He is not the same as the voidsent who worked with Knights to kill her people. He would never harm her. She wishes to be the one to care for him in all aspects. Being the one he would feed from is more of an honor than a horror for her.

While difficult to explain, she finds the notion of being the only one he would feed from as special. They are already bonded through the act, yes, but it would show the amount of trust and faith they have in one another. As well as in, perhaps another gruesome way, show that she is his in all manner of things. Yet, only if needs it in dire circumstances will she offer now. If he were to ask she would not hesitate in giving him her arm. ]
