( once at the stairs to the crystal tower, he motions for her to follow him. a nod is given to those on guard and the large grand doors open to the expansive entryway. a small smile touches his face as the tower never quite ceases to amaze him... even after all this time. )

Does teleportation exist in your world? It is by far the fastest way through the Tower.

( kainé had to scoff at his observation. she did care little for what people saw of her. her outfit was cute, or so she had long been convinced, feminine and lacy, exactly the kind of thing she liked... )

( of course she's seen people pop out of nowhere near that crystal-thing. not the big crystal thing that they seemed to be headed towards, but one of the other... crystal-things.

I am quite sure it is safe. The entire Tower is under my control and stewardship. ( a hand raises to it and he nods. ) Simply hold your hand up and think to the center of the Tower. It will lead us to the stairs that will take us to the Ocular.

( soft-speaking man concealed under a hood with a staff? this could probably go one of two ways. but without any other lead to go on, kainé decided to trust the exarch for now— if only because his genuine tone reminded her of someone...

huffing out a breath, she forced her shoulders to relax, and although it wasn't prompted, she closed her eyes. slowly, one of her hands rose, her brow screwing as she tried to imagine a place she had never even seen before. feeling like she was failing, she started to protest with a boisterous— )

Wait, how the hell am I— !

( her eyes opened, just as the scenery around her faded, along with her body. )

Shiiii — !!

( he chuckles fondly at her reactions to the teleportation device. it truly must seem like magic to those who are unawares of what the advancement of technology can do.

within a moment he is beside her in the center of the tower. he gestures for her to follow him, through the large pair of double doors, into the ocular. the doors close behind them and he turns to face her proper. his smile remains on his face as he sets the end of his staff down onto the crystal floor. the plink echoes. )

Now, then. We are from prying ears and can speak freely. If you have any questions, I would pray that you ask them. Or, if you need a moment to orientate yourself, please do so. Not many are used to how the Tower functions the first time.

( when kainé reappears, its on all fours. one hand is on her head, trying to steady the dizziness the teleport induced, while the other plants firmly on the ground to confirm its... firmness. )

How... how am I supposed to get home?!

( she asks between breaths, clearly needing that moment, but refusing to take it. feeling a bit steadier, she smacks her other hand down again, pushing herself up to stand, hands grasping her knees as she swayed slightly again. )

I understand you've got your... your fair share of problems around here, but there's still a shitload of shades back where I'm from that need their asses handed to them...!

( ah... a proper question, really. especially of one who did not come to the first so willingly. the hand she smacks raises to his chin in thought. he has thought of a response, but, is giving her the moment needed to orient herself. )

It would depend on how you arrived here to start. Travel between worlds is very difficult, neigh impossible even. My knowledge points that it is very usually a one-way trip, however, that was how my own was designed...
