[Nyx laughs softly.] Don't think they're worth all that much. Beer, please. Doesn't matter which.

[He's never been too picky, despite his former life. He can't afford to be picky either way. A soldier's stipend calls for pragmatism, not luxury.]

Hmmm.

[ She twirls an empty glass in her hand before turning to the tap. One.. two... three. She uses the third and then puts it down in front of him. Just enough foam, but not to the point where it is spilling over. ]

Thoughts are the secondary currency of a bar, you know.

Seems like a lot of places missed on that notice.

[He slides the glass closer to himself, nodding at her in thanks.]

Just a lot going on in the city, and I don't know where to start sometimes.

Or, they don't have excellent service like what you'll find here.

[ Tifa gives him a gentle smile. If anything, she can at least get him to lighten up a bit. He may not tell her the story, but, leaving the bar in higher spirits than when he came in? That will go far. ]

Most people start with the ones that run the city. Then they complain from there.

[He laughs softly. Slick, that one.]

Easy target, right? I wouldn't blame them either. A little bit of complaining sometimes gets the job done. But me? [He drinks from his glass. Good stuff.] I just get paid to solve the complaints.
