Character Name: Bruce Wayne aka The Batman (Bats, The Bat, ect ect)
Series:DC Extended Universe
Character History: History
Character Canon Point: Post-Wonder Woman
NOTE: Bruce will be following the original Snyder blueprint. This means he'll be canon updated to the upcoming SnyderCut of Justice League coming out on HBO Max. Nothing of the theatrical Justice League will be applied to Bruce.
Personality:
Unlike many inspirations of Bruce Wayne and Batman, the DC Extended universe version is easily one of the darkest. Inspired by Frank Miller's take on the Bat in The Dark Knight 80s graphic novel, this version of Bruce is rougher, tougher, meaner, and had to relearn what it means to be a "hero."
At the heart of it all, Bruce Wayne cares deeply. Much of his choices of becoming "The Batman" were because of not only the trauma he experienced at the murder of his parents, but because he cares for Gotham City and his family legacy. He is known for extensive charity donations, galas, and parties. He may have that playboy persona when he is out in public, but those who take more than five minutes to know even the persona of "Bruce Wayne" can tell that he cares. He sees the people in his company as family. So much so, that when the Wayne Financial building becomes collateral damage for Superman and Zodd's fight (Man of Steel, technically), Bruce rushes to Metropolis on his own to try and save who he can in the building. The loss of even this extended family - people he feels responsible for - is what escalates his downward spiral. He also sets up a fund for victims of the Metropolis Battle, and fully pays for all of Clark Kent's funeral as an "anonymous donor." He also goes so far as to find the last remaining hard copy of Diana's picture with her troop from World War I as a gift. Bruce may not always express his care in the most outward ways, but he makes sure what he does is meaningful.
This version has been confirmed to have lost Jason Todd to the Joker and Harley Quinn, thus he's lost one of his adopted sons that he felt he should of protected. Compacted through his trauma of his parents, Jason, and the Wayne Financial in Metropolis, Bruce spirals out of control. He becomes more of "The Bat", losing into his darker side. His empathy towards the criminals and "scum" of Gotham all but evaporates, going so far to brand criminals in jail so everyone knows they were caught by the Bat. Bruce typically uses a combination of fear and hope to inspire the people of Gotham, but when he is on his downward spiral, it is nothing but fear. He has lost his core values in his own grief, and it takes Superman and Wonder Woman to remind him that. By his canon point, Bruce is pulling himself out of that darkness and into brighter place. He has reconnected with people, and is reaching out for information about the other meta-humans. He even shows some level of empathy towards Harley Quinn as he saves her from Joker's sinking car as opposed to simply letting her die for helping kill Robin (Jason).
Despite his emotional trauma and how he outweighs it, Bruce is a genius in his own right. He has peak physical condition for a man in his 40s. He presumably has created the tech within the BatCave, while Alfred maintains the suit afterwards. He is a brilliant detective, being able to understand the criminal (and sometimes insane) mind, able to go and see the threads that often can blind the Gotham PD. Most of Bruce's storyline in Batman V Superman is tracking down exactly what Lex Luthor is smuggling into the harbor. He figures it out very early, but the audience has no idea until the reveal of the Kryptonite piece. Despite his darker motivations in the movie, Bruce is still able to use his intelligence to figure out how the Kryptonite works to fashion it into several weapons (spear, grenades). His abilities with martial arts and some apparent firearms allows him to fight criminals hand-to-hand, and generally outsmart them. Although they've left the physical scars on him as well.
The closest person to Bruce is Alfred Pennyworth, but it's very apparent that Bruce does not always listen to Alfred. Most of Bruce's situation emotionally is because he refuses to listen to the man that is his adopted father. Still, he cares deeply for Alfred, even going so far as to say that he doesn't deserve the man after what he's done. The other relationship that he seems to be leaning towards for support would be Diana Prince. The two are on good terms and understand one another, especially seen by how the fact Bruce is willing to find something that holds deep meaning to her without being asked. They are teammates who will work together to stop a common goal, but the two share a bond from after seeing Superman fall at the hands of Doomsday.
Abilities:
+ Peak Human Fitness - Bruce's capabilities in his physical prowess (and size) almost come off as superhuman. However he has no powers. He is seen benching an extreme amount of weight, pushing weights, and using tires and hammers to build resistance.
+ Genius intellect - As mentioned above, Bruce's genius allows him to solve crimes that most people cannot.
+ Stealth/Spying/Hacking - Bruce is able to blend into environments with or without the Batsuit. He is able to use technology and disguises to hide himself so he can gather information. He is also able to create technology to hack into Lex Luthor's mainframe and find not only information about the piece of Kryptonite, but also the information on metahumans.
Six Items:
+ The Batsuit
+ Cellphone "Cloner": Batman, as Bruce Wayne, can use a phone capable of cloning the software and contacts of another, allowing him to both listen to the cloned phone's messages and track it. He used this on Anatoli Knyazev's phone while briefly standing close to him.
+ Bruce's Aston Martin

[ The feed clicks on to show the familiar scene of the nice long wide beach. Beautiful blue waters, nice weather, and a very steady image. Then it flips over to show the man holding it: one Bruce Wayne, dressed in his business suit. Though, many people may not him. He's already gathered most of this beach has barely heard of Wayne Enterprises, let alone "The Bat." ]
I can't remember the last time I was on a beach this gorgeous without any company. [ The nice smile, the persona of Bruce Wayne. ] Bruce Wayne. Although, I gather most people may not have even heard of that name. I guess you're not famous in every universe, right?
[ Ha, ha. He smirks at his own joke (though, he is already groaning inside). ] I'm looking for some more information on this place. I'll take anything, really. Even if it is just the best place to grab a bite to eat.
