I don't think they come from the same place. More like... there are just opposing forces in all realities. Ones who dominate control, ones who harmonize with others. The Dark Place is somehow tied to them all, I think, but not in the way they all come from there. I don't know. Just everything coming from the Dark Place doesn't seem... right.

[ Her head tilts up slightly to look at him. ] Polaris will fight for her territory, and, I'll help with that. She's my friend. We're in it together. She might be overpowered by an other force. [ Her eyes narrow slightly. ] But, maybe that's why she wanted to reach out to the Champion of Light. Whatever it was that taught you how to wield it must be something she finds as an ally.

[ Jesse already knows that is what the case is. She's seen how the Hiss and the Dark Presence interact. She knows how Polaris can interact with the light. Now, she just needs Alan to see that and to understand it. She needs him to really understand it. Embody it. ]
