[ He unwittingly echoes her thoughts, but he knows it to be true even if he'd rather pretend it's not. Still, they're way past pretending; he can't pretend that he hasn't hurt her, and she can't pretend that he's really home.

Still, there's one thing he can do for her that might have lasting consequences. Barry would gladly do anything for his old friend, even something as seemingly odd as this. ]

[ It's crazy and probably too forward, but Alan puts the offer out there anyway for her to do whatever she wants to with. ]
