She can probably see the wheels turning in his mind as he tries to process her words. It's not every day that someone manages to render him speechless, but he's pretty close to that right now.

And then she surprises him again when she follows after him to give him a kiss of her own. Well, I was already thinking I was already in too deep to let her go, but I'm definitely not doing that now.

He leans into the kiss the second it becomes clear to him that she wants it too, and his hold on her tightens by just a fraction. I'm in too deep now, but it feels good. It shouldn't feel this good, but it does. ]
