[ It's not that Jesse flinches--but she does reflexively ball up. Just slightly. He's gotten part of why she is upset right. How is she of any help? They just met, and it seems like all they do is butt heads. Or she makes everything more confusing for him. She's not really sure why she's even in the story beyond getting Alan the manuscript pages she had in her possession. None of it makes much sense to her.

It means a lot to her. That fact alone means so much that she's afraid he'll leave in the end back to the way everyone else sees the world and she'll be the only one realizing the poster is gone on the wall.
