Yes, I believe you have.

[ A shadow briefly crosses his face but it is quickly replaced by a warm smile. ] I believe that I would have ceased to hope for anything more than the life I've been living until now. [ Perhaps it makes no sense at all, but somehow, she has given him a reason to continue and a reason to be hopeful again.

Of course, the events of the past cannot be undone, and he is certain he shall not forget them, but perhaps as long as she remains with him, the two of them can create new memories. ]

Well... I suppose it would be accurate to say that we have saved each other. After all, I would not have been present to assist you in leaving your cave if you had not treated me when I needed healing. But I could not have left you there.

[ He may not be certain of very much, but he is certain that he would never have left her in that cave after what she did for him. A fine sort of repayment that would be.

Of course, they will both need to come up for air at some point, but he lingers with his kiss for as long as he can. When he finally separates from her, even by the barest fraction, he asks: ]

Where and how would you have me? [ Because his own instincts are telling him to cross over that threshold again so that they might become one with each other in a physical sense, as they already are in their minds and hearts. It seems to him that she wishes for that sort of intimacy, but he asks in search of that confirmation.

While he awaits her answer, he continues to touch her on her thigh, but his fingers move closer to the inner part of said thigh, as if teasing her with his own desire to move beyond mere touch and a more intimate, almost carnal action. ]
