He is content to hear her stories and tales from her adventures, and imagine the sights and sounds in his mind's eye. And he is equally content to hold her and comfort her and be comforted by the notion that they are together. ]

Part of him cannot quite identify why he thinks she might want to retire separately from him, except that she might one day desire space, to do so on her own schedule. Or perhaps one day, she might find herself needing more rest and take to their bed early. He would prefer that they remain together, even when readying for sleep, but he at least wishes to give her the option of doing so separately. ]
