Not that he had any reason to be suspicious, as he trusts her in all ways and then some. But his curiosity did threaten to get the best of him, although by the time he allowed sleep to claim him, he decided to leave well enough alone and let her surprise be just that.
When she comes to wake him up, he's in a fairly sound sleep, but he responds quickly enough to the nudge she gives him. His eyes slide open slowly and as his vision focuses once more, he can't help but smile upon seeing her. ]
