[ What he sees when he looks at her, aside from the most beautiful woman that he can recall ever laying eyes on, is someone who has taken her share of damage and yet still continues moving forward. He wonders if she is the stronger of the two of them, in light of how many trials and challenges she has seen and survived. He has had his share of trials, but in comparison to all that she has been through, his are minuscule in comparison.
That she has such strength about her is just one more thing that causes him to admire her and to love her even more. Not for the first time, he marvels that she has agreed to be with him and still remains with him even now.
Along with that marveling comes yet another argument between himself and... well, himself. He wishes to share a bath with her, casting aside propriety again, because he does not wish to be apart from her any longer than he must. But the age-old expectations for proper behavior are very well ingrained in him, and that is the part of him that argues against such a thing. ]
I know it is not the proper thing to do, and I can imagine just how many people would nearly fall over at the thought of it, but I-
[ Again, his words fail him and he shakes his head at himself. ]
I would share a bath with you and not be separated from you for even a moment. But I would understand if that is something you do not wish to do.
[ And then, an image springs to mind that he can scarcely recall, and yet he knows that it is something that occurred while he was far from himself; it is only a collection of images, including a tub and towels, and Alkaid appearing to be washing his hair. It does not take the most brilliant mind in all of Eorzea to know just what was occuring there. And yet when he attempts to take hold of that memory and bring to mind what he must have felt at the time, he finds that he cannot.
Perhaps that is one more reason why he wants to share a bath with her now, to fill in the gaps in his memory that he cannot seem to do on his own. ]
