If only we had managed to find one another in the streets. [ Alkaid smiles at him, ears relaxing and tail gently swaying under the blankets. ] Then, who knows, we may have kissed even sooner...
[ Her gaze lowers slightly as a blush takes her face. ] I would hate to disappoint the Lord Speaker, but, none wished to have my heart. My capabilities as a healer and a primal slayer were in far more demand and coveted than being simply... me.

There had been a time in which she reminded herself that if she could not be what an adventurer might wish, then, how could the then Lord Commander ever cast his gaze to her? What could she ever be outside of a Warrior of Light to anyone? Of course, she had shared these thoughts with him once before, so there is no real point in sharing them again. ]
