The revelation that Hydaelyn is a primal, and so is- or was, this Zodiark, still comes as a surprise to him. Granted, with the primal activity that they have had thus far, it is not a complete shock, but still, it is something he was not prepared for.
If he were capable of it, he would press a finger to his lips while he thought all this over, but with how he is holding her, he does not wish to move nor break their connection.
When her hands move to cup his face, his eyes close momentarily, as if he is drinking in the feel of her hands on him. He knows some time has passed since he last said anything in reply, but he is still trying to sort through his thoughts... thoughts that only grow more convoluted as she goes on to say that by stopping Emet-Selch, they put an end to his dream of restoring the world that he knew.
And if what he has learned in the course of this conversation, that world was one that they knew as well. Her words have not gone unheard, and he reaches out for her, placing a hand upon her forearm and giving it a firm but gentle squeeze. He loves her more than he can ever recall loving anyone, and he cannot help but feel that there is more he could do to help shoulder her burdens.
But in a way, it eases his mind to know that she thinks he is doing just that for her, regardless of what he might personally think. His eyes remain open, yet his head tips downward just a fraction as he continues to mull everything he has learned over.
But in light of all this, there still is just one thing that he wants to say: ]
