Alkaid finally forces her eyes upwards at him again to find him attempting to nod off once more. Her fingers gently brush along his skin to help encourage the notion if he so needs it. Then, his eyes meet hers, and the breath in her throat catches. There is no sign of recognition but instead concern, a trait as true to Aymeric as any of his bravery.
A smile is forced for his sake despite the tears threatening to form in her eyes once more. ]
