If so--then could it ever be that a part of him might be devoted to her and not his whole devoted to the God-King?
She cannot answer the questions for only he can. Yet, she must pose them in order for the thoughts to even spring into his mind. She does not expect his true self to be able to spring forth from his tempered state or even to reappear until the cure is administrated. She merely hopes that some part of that man can remain at the forefront of his mind to receive the cure.
His return of the notion is a step farther than she had expected. Still, she wishes to press the silent question and answer further. A hand slides to the side of his neck as she presses her lips further to deepen the kiss. ]
