[ Perhaps his devotion to Ishgard is so single minded that he has not realized that others might not feel the same as him. Even with the roaring voice in his head, a part of him still believed that Estinien felt some ties to Ishgard even though he is no longer the Azure Dragoon. ]

Not the church, but the people who call Ishgard home. Or do you no longer care for their welfare?

[ Even in the state that he is in, Aymeric's driving desire is to help his people however he can. A part of him that still retains his sense of self tells him that the way to protect his people is not through holy war, but a louder voice drowns that out. ]

No one is excluding you, except perhaps yourself. And if you do not see the threats rising all around us, then perhaps your eyes are more clouded than I thought.

Injured? Me? [ He casts a look at himself as if to check for injury, but he concludes that he is well enough, no thanks to Estinien's blows. ]

I have no need of healing, in spite of your efforts to bring me down. [ And as he looks at his friend, a scowl crosses his face. ] I had hope that you would understand, and even stand with me, but it seems that I was mistaken.

A cell is a cell, whether in Ishgard or wherever you have decided to place me.

As for my woman, her absence here speaks volumes.

[ Perhaps that is unfair of him, because surely she has more pressing matters than this, and the remnant that is still Aymeric tries in vain to protest. ]
