Oh, that is me being the lowest of complimentary, Ser. I could go on... but I don't believe that is needed.

The belief might be there in others, but you offer a direction for it to channel to. A way forward for those with the drive and the desire. Don't diminish your part so much when so many look up to what you, Lucia, and Hilda are achieving.

[ Aymeric may be humble, but she has seen Alphinaud deny his part out of fear that he might cause something worse than the fall out of the Crystal Braves. She would not see that happen to another she cares for. Even if that care -- or at least how deep it is -- will remain secret. Alkaid has no delusions or ideas at how it would seem if one of the Warriors of Light were impartial because of a deep affection for the head of state. Instead, she finds other, less satifisying ways to channel it into.

If she can repair Ishgard even to the smallest amount, that will be enough. Rebuilding his home and his people might be the only way to express her affection ... even if it may be entirely unseen.

A sigh comes from her then. She turns back to face him, ears still lowered, an expression mixed with worry and frustration she cannot but hope to express properly. Not simply because she is in public, but because she has been reminded time and time again it is not her place. There are other healers to care for the Lord Commander. ]

Of course I'm worried... for you. Hearing the news of the attack and... being bared from aiding... [ Alkaid frowns and merely glances to the side. She is a Warrior of Light, but she is also a conjurer with a soul crystal of a white mage. A healer--a mender. ] I don't want to cause more strife or danger than you are already in. That is all.

[ She shakes her head and tries to force her mood and posture to something more of fair spirits. ]

Please, Ser Aymeric, say what you will. The Gods know I do not hold my opinion back. Much to some distress of my fellow Scions. [ A forced smile, but smile nonetheless. ] And, do consider yourself formally invites to join me the day after tomorrow at the airship landing.

... Do I need to submit paperwork for any formal invitation?
