( Paul approaches her quietly in regard as she stares out into the sun. She doesn't look like the other Freman. Perhaps she was someone pulled into the believes like Liet Kynes had been. Perhaps it was her parents, and she merely the sum of their adopted religion. Regardless, he finally comes to stand beside her with his eyes looking out forward onto the sand. )

I'll be fine for now. ( His gaze follows her to the sky. ) A meteor shower. Do you see them often here in the deep desert?

( Hearing Paul approach, Rey's head tips slightly towards the noise before shifting from where she sits to offer him some shade beside her. )

Several times a year, many of them happen around the same time, though some are newer and older ones have stopped happening. They are dependent upon our position around Canopus.

Sometimes, we can find the meteors before the worms get to them if we're lucky, but they're often devoured shortly after impact. If the sun weren't already rising, I might have ventured into the desert after one that landed not too far off from here.

I see. ( He nods to her information and once again looks northwards. ) Do you make anything from the fallen meteors? Or, is everything only taken from raids on Harkkonen facilities or the sandworms?

( He gently takes his spot to sit beside her. It feels odd to speak to people he has seen in dreams or visions. They're real, but sometimes, he feels as himself isn't real. What is real and not is clear to him and he has no issue distinguishing one from the other. It is the feeling of being in dreams that sometimes disturbs him. )

We use all of the resources we find, but we don't use them often as the meteors are rarer to find due to the sand and worms. That said, much of what we use comes from off-world and the worms.

( Raising a hand to her chest, Rey carefully shifts through the loose fabrics she wears to produce a necklace. With a deft hand, she pulls it over her hand and hands it to Paul once he's sitting beside her. )

( Paul takes the quiet moment to watch how she takes her necklace. His head tilts as she hands it to him to look at. His gloved hands move over the details of it, noting it is sharp, and could potentially break a still suit. However, he doubts that is what she wants to hear. )
