Perfection

[Alucard himself often feels that neither fate nor god care much for him. Perhaps it's because of his blood. Or his sins. Perhaps it's because he's simply unlucky. He's uncertain of why exactly he's so often in such unfavorable situations. But he is certain of one thing. He knows without a doubt that he's not supposed to be here.

Just a short time ago he was working as Genya Arikado, investigating another potential threat. Then he found himself suddenly unconscious, waking to find himself locked away in a intricate coffin, so similar to where he'd buried himself alive to sleep away his sorrows in the past. Now though, reverted to his true form and without the energy to shift easily, he's escaped the comfortable prison to become aware of just how much the familiar chaos of the castle had affected this world. He's unable to reach his contacts, his cellular phone is useless entirely at the moment. So he's given up for now, choosing instead to explore the odd building he's found himself in.

He swears it's been cursed somehow, twisted by similar black magic to the type that the castle he once called home cultivated within it. Parts of it towards the back are the stone of a crypt, several coffins all in a row together beneath the gentle gaze of an saintly stone figure. However, steps away through a door the stone and wood clash and cobble together as another building type entirely takes over. There's a mostly intact desk nearby, with some paperwork in an unlock drawer. So Alucard starts rifling through in order to at least gain some idea as to where he's found himself.

None of this makes sense at all. But before he can think too much about it, Alucard hears someone enter. He stifles a sigh, he's so out of sorts right now that the idea of a battle is exhausting to even consider. Not that he'll get much of a choice, he's sure. But when Alucard hears the person speak, it's so unexpected that he hasn't a clue how to react for a moment.

Someone's certainly had a hard time of it, if being turned into a lampshade was a threat they've experienced in the past. Unusual indeed. He's been found out, though. Alucard needs information, and badly. And this person, as done with this whole situation as they sound, offered an out instead of an outright call to arms. So perhaps this meeting isn't doomed from the start.

He finally responds.]
I have no intentions of those sorts. [He might as well come forward. He's not rushing, keeping a steady pace in case the person speaking to him is the type to strike easily, or becomes paranoid because of fear.] I am lost. Are you familiar with these lands?
